The 9th Annual Roundtable for Engineering Entrepreneurship Research (REER) will be held November 13-15, 2009 at Georgia Tech College of Management (800 West Peachtree Street, Atlanta, Georgia 30308) located in Technology Square.

The REER's purpose is to bring together leading scholars from a variety of disciplines to exchange research on technology entrepreneurship. Among the topics of interest are the commercialization of technology developed from industrial or university research, as well as the university/industry interface, organizational forms (e.g. incubators, venture firms, banks, associations, industry groups), and legal and regulatory factors in technology entrepreneurship.

Theoretical and empirical papers, as well as student submissions are welcome. Special funding from the National Science Foundation Integrative Graduate Education and Research Funding (IGERT) will support an award for the best student paper. The College will support travel expenses for one author for accepted papers.

The deadline for submissions is September 1, 2009 and the program will be announced October 1, 2009.  Submissions should be submitted electronically to Jennifer Smith at jennifer.smith@mgt.gatech.edu.  If you have any questions, please contact me via e-mail at marie.thursby@mgt.gatech.edu  or Jennifer Smith at jennifer.smith@mgt.gatech.edu.

The REER is cosponsored by Marion Ewing Kauffman Foundation, Georgia Tech CIBER, and the National Science Foundation IGERT Grant.
